Back To School Is Cool............

So I am Creating like a Fool - Designing like a madwoman - I have Fabric in every orfice of my house - fabric hanging from the clip that holds my hair back - and all of a sudden - SCREEEEEECH - - - - - - - - PUT ON THE BRAKES - - - - - - ???!!!???!!! WHAT - WHY - WHO - WHEN???!!!
Yep it is time for Back To School.........................School shopping - Open Houses - Dance Sign - Ups - Get my kids to bed Early - Get ME up early................R U Kidding Me????
I was so traumitized thinking about it all I hid for about a week getting my thoughts in order............should it really be that tough??? No it just throws that darn monkey wrench into my artistic brain thinkage and makes me want to pull the covers over my head..................
I do have great news that I have just about conquered it all and deep cleaned the house in the process~~~~I had to find the coat closet...........then I decided that was pretty cool so I hit all the closets LOL............But don't let me ramble about that Lord knows I have issues with that...........ring ring "Oh Hi Aunt Sally - Sure I'd love for you to stop by - Yes in an hour? That would be great..."
I am off and running let's repaint the bedroom - deep clean all the rugs - replace the living room window with a bay window and get out all my Fall Decor cause I am ready to redecorate............
My husband is rolling his eyes - and doing the dishes........................
I am hoping to have NEW FUN DESIGNS soon and some ARTISTIC SURPRISES.............=) Just had to take care of this "MOM STUFF" first...............=) Hope everyone is enjoying Back to School as much as I am..............heeheeeheeee ;)

Getting Back on the Horse

FUN & FRIENDSHIPS

1. Make your Friend STAINED GLASS ART - Yes just like they have in the craft section at Wal-Mart or for a bigger selection try a Michaels. They have a ton of different designs. They are afordable. And your friend will think of you when she peeks out her kitchen window. =)

2. Send a special card or note with a Family Recipe to share with your friend...
Here is one from ME =) -

$300.00 RED CAKE

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 bottles red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp cocoa
1 cup buttermilk
2 1/4 cup cake flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vinegar

Add vinegar to soda and let sit.
Cream Shortening, Sugar and Eggs.
Add coloring and cocoa.
Add buttermilk and salt alternately with flour.
Add Vanilla
Flod in soda and vinegar mixture.
Bake 300 degrees for 30 minutes. (Apx.)

Frosting

3 tbsp flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla

Cook flour and milk till thick. Cool. Cream sugar, vanilla and butter until very fluffy. Mix with thick flour and milk.

Now invite me over ;)

FRIENDSHIP

How many of us can say we have a true friend?
A friend.......... Not a co-worker - Not a wife of your husbands best buddy - Not someone you can talk to only certain subjects about but everything - even your DEEPEST - DARKEST of secrets?
I have been blessed to find friendship in my life that I have and would share my utmost horrifying trials with as well as the most wonderful of times. I think a soulmate would be a grand way of describing this friendship. Oh and if I forget what I was saying no worries because she can certainly finish the sentence for me.
A Gray Sheep is an odd animal - Why not just a sheep? To normal....A Gray one is much harder to come across.
Although I have been blessed to share a brain with a wonderful person in my life and it really doesn't get any more perfect as we agree to agree but agreeing to disagree can become quite a Fabulous part of your life too.
Which starts the story of another True Friendship in my life. Now this friendship had to grow through the years exspecially those Rocky Teen Years when you just know you ARE Right heehee. But through all those trials and errors I have found a person that has as many thoughts as I do and if they are not the same thoughts well we R E S P E C T each other and move on to the next subject in our lives. I do love the feeling though of being able to hear another persons views on things, in fact it does me good and it makes this friendship stronger. Not that we always disagree because we don't.
I just wanted to Celebrate Friendships and Focus on why mine are so very special.
